Re-Use any available materials on site, specify water conscious and native plant material, and permeable paving when possible. Collect water (storm or irrigation) on site to divert it from the storm drain.

COHESION:

Integrate the landscape with the architectural style, existing materials and layout of the home or building so that the garden feels like an outdoor room.

UNITY:

Repeat elements such as plants species and paving to create a unified design.

SPONTANEITY:

Be open to allow unexpected relevant design solutions surface.
